El Tupay serves a delicious Buffet Breakfast from 5.00am to 10.00am in this antique Refectory.

Our menu includes assorted homemade breads, an array of Danish and French breakfast pastries, cereals, freshly baked pancakes, eggs cooked to order, a Delicatessen selection, local and international dishes, freshly squeezed seasonal juices and a range of hot beverages.

We also offer the unique Japanese Breakfast, with grilled salmon trout, condiments, rice, miso soup and green tea

The Name 'El Tupay'

The routes of the name 'El Tupay' originate from Inca times when the Inca used to revitalise the faith of the priests or lords of his empire by offering them presents and banquets that lasted for days.

Known as 'Andean reprocity' - a Quechua word for this was 'Tupay', which means 'meeting', or more specifically, 'to share a pleasant moment of a meal and drink'. So, in other words, a very special meeting.

At El Tupay, you can experience these very special moments of traditional Peruvian hospitality. Our chef Marco Albán, together with his team of expert local chefs, create the finest in Peruvian and International Cuisine. Cusquenian Nights
On Saturdays Cusquenian Nights are held in El Tupay Resturant.  The original refectory of the ancient monastery, El Tupay is an architecturally significant location.  Delicious food is served and typical dances of the surrounding towns are performed all with a warm and friendly service
